Responsible creating and supporting programs dedicated to the efficient and cost effective purchasing of services and products related to thefunctioning of Nike's business activities. Specific sourcing of product related raw materials falls outside the scope of this family.
Responsible for the development and execution of sourcing strategies based on best practices.
Manages employees and sets individual goals that link to departmental priorities.
Coaches staff, supports development, makes hiring decisions, and drives performance management, recognition and rewards.
Deploys commodity strategies using the 7-Step Strategic Sourcing Process which includes: stage gates, spend analysis, requirements planning, risk management, market analysis, strategy development, competitive bidding (RFx), supplier negotiations, supplier selection, contracting, supplier management, cost savings methodology, performance reporting, and proficiency with sourcing tools.
Works with business stakeholders to build consensus and alignment for sourcing projects. Identifies key stakeholders and collaborates, advises and influences (where appropriate) across Nike Inc.
Utilizes procurement operational excellence within commodity which includes preferred purchasing/transaction methods, payment methodology and working capital principles.
Identifies improvement opportunities related to procurement operational policies, processes and procedures to enhance procurement operations and improve performance metrics.
Works with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement procurement operational improvements.
